Confirmation Calls Us to Put Our Faith In Action

Service Hours must be completed at/through Saint Paul Parish or selected Saint Paul School events. Service done at school or other organizations does not count toward Confirmation Service hours. The purpose of the Service Events is to introduce the students to various ministries in our parish.

Service Events

Students must use the SERVICE HOUR LOG FORM below to record each service event they complete.

The list of Service Events shown below is updated regularly. Check back here often to see all of the upcoming opportunities.

  • Weed & Reap – Sat., April 25, 2026. Spring is here and we are heading back to Meriden to help the Franciscan Sisters with their abundant grounds. Winter has been long, so there is a lot of prep work to be done. Join us for gardening, weeding, pruning, and tending to the land. We’ll get our hands dirty, have lunch, and spend the morning outdoors (weather permitting) helping the Sisters. Be sure to wear garden work clothes and shoes that you are ok getting a little dirty. (Bring garden gloves if you have them). Questions? Contact Suzy Gujda at s.gujda@stpaulkensington.org. This event will be a the grounds of the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist – 405 Allen Ave., Meriden from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP.

  • Knights of Columbus Polish Dinner – Sat., April 11, 2026. The Knights of Columbus are holding their annual Polish Dinner on Saturday, April 11, right after the 4 pm Vigil Mass in the Saint Paul School gym. Eight students are needed to help set and clear tables and serve dinners from the kitchen. Please arrive at 4:30 and plan on staying until 7:30, or until cleanup is complete. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP.

  • Ledgecrest Visits – Sunday afternoons FROM February – May 2026. Eucharistic Ministers, Mark & Mary Jane Duplin, with their son Patrick, take communion and visit Ledgecrest residents weekly on Sunday afternoons from 3:00-4:00 pm. They can only take an additional TWO students with them on any given week. This would not be an ongoing, weekly commitment, but rather a one-time visit. Do not go to Ledgecrest until Mr. Duplin contacts you – via email – with a visit confirmation. These dates are assigned first-come, first-served. If you have any questions, Mr. Duplin can be reached at mfduplin@outlook.com. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP.
